Organisation Structure
The structure of the Magistrate’s Court consists of:
- Criminal Section
- Civil Section
- Road Traffic Section
- Commissioner for Oaths and Notarial Services
- Counter Services
Main duties
The main duties of the Magistrate’s Court are to hear cases (Criminal and Civil) and hand down judgments and sentences / orders.

- To uphold the independence of the Judiciary
The Magistrates’ Court is headed by the Honourable Chief Magistrate Pengiran Hajah Norismayanti binti Pengiran Haji Ismail (sitting, 2nd left) and is assisted by the following Judicial Officers:
- Harnita Zelda Skinner, Senior Registrar of the Supreme Court (sitting, 2nd right)
- Hajah Azrimah binti Haji Abdul Rahman, Senior Magistrate (sitting, 1st right)
- Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid, Senior Magistrate (sitting, 1st left)
- Muhammad Qamarul Affiyan bin Abdul Rahman, Magistrate (standing, 3rd left)
- Hajah Normazdina binti Haji Md. Maskub, Magistrate (standing, 2nd right)
- Nur Eleana binti Dato Paduka Haji Hairol Arni, Magistrate (standing, 2nd left)
- Syaffina binti Shahif, Magistrate (standing, 1st right)
- Abdul ‘Azim bin Othman, Magistrate (standing, 3rd right)
